The Balme cave is located on the banks of the Arve river and is ideal for an introduction to caving or to take part in a more technical exploration.
Next to Les Carroz, the caving excursion takes place over half a day and is open to participants from 6 years old for the family caving, and 12 years old for the discovery caving.
– Family caving: The aim is to visit a cave made up of large galleries and varied landscapes (rooms, underground streams, etc.). The route is generally punctuated by small obstacles that do not require the use of a rope and the narrow passages are optional.
– Discovery caving: The aim is to explore a very aesthetic cave with many obstacles. The landscapes are very varied (rooms, basins, stalactites,…) and the obstacles are not very difficult (rope passages, abseils,…). You need to be at least athletic to participate.
