The canyon of Paterna del Río is located in La Alpujarra, Almeria, only 10km from Laujar de Andarax. This canyon is known for its wide range of fauna and flora. The canyoning excursion, with a duration of 3 to 4 hours, will start from the picnic area of Paterna del Rio. The canyon of Paterna del Río has some of the most ferrous water in the area, which gives the water a brownish colour.
The descent of the ravine is approximately 1.2 km long, with waterfalls of between 5 and 15 metres, which in the spring season are at their maximum flow, which ensures fun during the activity. During the tour you will have to jump into pools and some slippery passages where you will be filmed in slow motion for you to keep as a souvenir. To get out of the ravine we will climb a via ferrata of initiation level. And, finally, we will take a 20-minute hiking route from where we will be able to see the whole route that we have descended during the canyoning route.
