Day 1
Meet up with your professional tour guide and depart from New York City aboard an air-conditioned bus or van. Head south to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, for a panoramic tour of the city including stops at several iconic landmarks such as the Liberty Bell, Elfreth’s Alley, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and so much more.
Make your way east to the green hills of Lancaster where you will enjoy a ride on an authentic Amish buggy. While strolling through Amish farm country, learn how this unique group of people has thrived without modern technology, electricity, running water, telephones, or appliances. Before departing for your hotel in Washington DC, take a moment to shop at the Amish marketplace for handmade products.
Day 2
Day 2 will begin with a continental breakfast at your hotel and then a trip to the famous Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Pass by rows of white headstones at the Arlington National Cemetery and visit the Kennedy family gravesite.
Next, travel to Capitol Hill. Discover the core of the US government as you view the stunning neoclassical architecture of the Capitol and White House buildings. The rest of your day will be filled with stops at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum (pending availability), as well as the Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Korea, and Vietnam Memorials.
Take in panoramic views of the city and its surrounding landscapes before heading back to New York.
