Spend a day engrossed in sustainable design and hands-on craft, with this Plastic Recycling Workshop for Two.
Guided by your friendly tutors, you’ll melt waste LDPE plastic, marble your own colours, and create something really special to take home. With plenty of hands-on practical time, you’ll also learn how traditional crafts can be merged with modern mateerials, and what sustainable design and materials really mean.
What you make on the day is up to you: whether it’s a set of coasters, a vase, a sculpture or a piece of wall art, the choice is yours.

When you arrive at Weez & Merl’s workshop, you’ll be warmly welcomed. Your day will start at 10am with a meet and greet, and an informal chat with videos and Q&A for roughly one hour. It’s then on to a kneading and cutting demo to get you familiar with working with plastic, before choosing your colours. You’ll break for lunch (not included), before exploring layering and marbling techniques. When you’re happy with how the marbling looks within your plastic, we’ll either press your pieces or hand-shape them depending on the product type you are making.
Tea, coffee and water will be provided throughout the day, as well as some homemade snacks (vegan and gluten free) to keep you going through the afternoon.
When you’re done (4:30-5:30pm depending on group size), there’ll be the opportunity to raise a glass to all your hard work and wonderful creations!
