Murtosa is a perfect place to kitesurf, its over 10,000 m2 beach with no deep water and a temperature of 23-26ºC, all year round, along with the few people around the spot makes it great for learning to use the wind in your favor. Murtosa is also considered one of the best Portuguese spots for learning and practicing kitesurf and windsurf.
Nortada Aventura welcomes you to their kitesurfing training center, the first certified Portuguese kite school! Their perfect location in Murtosa, near Porto, but away from its crowds, allows them to have a private training area with shallow waters that will make your learning progress faster and safer. Their focus on safety is the reason why you’ll always see jet skis and motorboats available in case you need help.
The school’s instructors are all are certified by IKO, FFVL, and the Portuguese Sailing Federation. Their approach to kitesurfing is quite practical, so your training will start right in the water, as opposed to on the beach as in most kitesurfing schools.
The rhythm of your training is up to you, Nortada Aventura offers single, private or group 2-hour lessons or a full 8-hour beginners course! You get to choose, according to the level you want to reach and the time and budget at your disposal. Depending on your level, you will learn about site selection, basic piloting control systems, power control, and self landing in the begginner’s level; dragging, pulling, and waterstart at the intermidiate level, and edging, riding, turns, launches, and jumps at the most advanced level. Your instructor will pick the best place to teach you what you need.
The activity has an instructor ratio of max 2 students per instructor, so you’ll be well taken care of, and your class will be as personalized as possible.
