After receiving your equipment (paddle, helmet, wet suit, life jacket, and water shoes), the guide will go through a safety briefing and instructions for rafting. Then, you’ll be driven to the starting point on the river, where the rafting on Numedalslågen begins!
Numedalslågen is one of Norway’s longest rivers, stretching about 352 kilometres (219 mi) from the Hardangervidda plateau down to Larvik. Rafting on the Numedalslågen River is popular due to its variety of sections. The family rafting trip is perfect for children and beginners. You’ll paddle along tamer rapids, graded class 2. Depending on the water level you’ll start high in Dagali Falls, paddling along grade 3-4 rapids, passing Engleporten, Trollhaugen, Cocktail, and Ismarfoss. If the water level permits, you’ll also stop for some fun cliff-jumping at Five Holes or surfing at Angel’s Pathway. The premium rafting excursion in Dagali will end at Dagali Bru, Hallandstunet, or Dagali Airport. At the end of each rafting excursion on Numedalslågen, you’ll be driven back to the activity centre in Dagali, where you can get changed and take a hot shower.
